Thanksgiving Day was a wonderful event at our house. I believe the ideal Thanksgiving setting is within the walls of home and filled with the echoes of camaraderie and friendship. As you can see, I didn't get many photos- and not the best, either- as it is difficult to photograph and and enjoy oneself in the moment at the same time.
We had a fabulous dinner of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, candied yams, stuffing, brussels sprouts, corn, green bean casserole, and more. Appetizers ranged from candied nuts to relish trays and dessert was an array of pies, fudge and my moms delicious gluten and dairy-free pumpkin crumble.
The fire blazed, the music played softly in the background, and voices rose in conversation and laughter. After dinner, my talented cousin graced us with several beautiful renditions on the pianoforte. These are the special times. Not yesterday, not future moments... but now.
How did you celebrate?
